Hand cut, shaped and polished, then hand painted in a pink and red Bauhaus inspired design, this statment wooden pendant is sustainable, unique, lightweight and extremely wearable.  It would make a great gift for someone, or just a treat for yourself. 
 
DETAILS -
- The pendant hangs from a 78cm long, stainless steel tarnish free chain.
- The painted wood is approximately 30mm wide and 55mm long, with a chain tassel adding a further 80mm to the length.
- The pendant comes in recycled and fully recyclable, envelope, gift box and packaging.

It’s easy to feel good about wearing jewellery made from recycled wood.  Smaller pieces of this amazing material are so often thrown away, all of the beautiful woods in my workshop were rescued from waste of one kind or another, many from my past life as a furniture maker. Cutting and shaping each piece by hand brings a special quality to the shape and feel of the jewellery, and allows me to produce very little waste in the process.
 
This beautiful pale Maple wood was bought from Cambridge Corn Exchange when they refurbished the building.  It is a beautiful pale, smooth wood, which makes the perfect canvas for a bit of wearable art.
 
Wood by its very nature has infinite variations of pattern and tone, making each and every pendant completely unique.  Add hand painted detail and there you go, jewellery as individual as the person wearing it.
 
Pale pink and bright red are a great combination, this simple but effective Bauhaus style piece balances these colours with the shapes of the wood in an interesting and striking design.  
 
The pendant is made to a high standard, and will happily deal with a drop of rain, but please  but please take care not to let it get too wet - wood and water are not the best of friends!  Also do your best to keep it away from perfumes and cosmetics which may discolour and damage your jewellery.
